Recently bought 1/2 an acre which I am turning into my jungle away from the jungle (Hawaii). Looking for anything tropical to remind me of home. Trying to set up a microirrigation system to harvest rainwater and conserve resources. Have a small pond but want to dig one large enough for koi. Have some drainage/flooding problems so plan to build a berm and plant with large bamboo to screen out my neighbors. Trying to do everything on a shoestring budget due to the size of my property so I have a 5-year plan to make it happen since I do most of the labor myself (ugh!). Wishing I could afford one of those mini backhoes!
