I have five dogs and seven cats -- oh, a husband, too. We live and garden organically on the sandhills of South Carolina. I love water gardens. I'm a compulsive composter. My mother taught me how to compost about the same time I learned to walk, and I'm always thrilled by the process. I compost and vermicompost. I collect other people's abandoned grass clippings and recycle old newspapers from my law firm's library. My husband thinks I'm a little weird. My co-workers think I'm eccentric. Heck, maybe so!
