I live in a small town in Northern Colorado with my partner Michael. We 1 son, 2 dogs and 2 cats that still live at home. I commute about 30 minutes to work 5 days a week. I work in an office all week. So gardening is my relaxing time. I gained my love of garden from my grandmother. Before I started a family I lived very close to her and would garden with her all the time. She is 91 years young and still gardens a little. It's fun to talk with her on the phone, we both get so excited when seed catalog time comes around. I like collecting rocks and unusual pieces of wood. I also collect odd idems from horseshoes to anchors, and hang them on my privacy fence around my yard. I like feeding the birds. We mostly sparrows, finches, robins and bluejays. But this spring I have seen small black and white with a little red on their heads woodpeckers. I also set cobs of corn and other goodie out for the squirrels. They drive my dogs crazy, but they are so much fun to watch.
