I keep digging more garden beds in my yard! When will I learn? I live in Cleveland, OH, near Lake Erie, in a 1910 bungalow. The tiny front yard is all flower garden -- cottagy and sort of overstuffed, with hollyhocks and sunflowers as the main feature. The backyard is shady and I'm learning as I go. We have three dogs who love to lay in dirt and daylilies, too. When it's too cold to garden, I love to read garden books. Favorites include anything by Elizabeth Lawrence, Katehrine White, Allan Lacy, Henry Mitchell and a book by Anon. called "The Garden of A Commuter's Wife" from the early 1900's.
