Grew up on farm near London, Ontario, where I now live. Dad moved to farm on Prairies for breathing reasons. I trained as clergyperson in Saskatoon, SK, spent several years helping refugees reestablish after Korea War.

Spent several years as parish minister, but only sporadically after family breakup 30 years ago - clergy didn't do that.

Have worked as financial and retirement consultant for several years, now winding it down. Didn't sell any financial products - charged for my time. No conflict of interest.

Continuing newsletter, as would like to have folks learn how to manage money more effectively (maybe have some extra to share with charities).

Sharing family tendency to weak lungs, thankful that I quit smoking at age 16, shortly after starting, so now enjoying good health in retirement. I help at www.quitnet.org.

One single adult son here in London, clown entertainer; daughter divorced (with friend near here) spent last 5 years in AZ, recently returned, partly to help her mother after cancer surgery.
