I live in the foothills near Yosemite Ntnl. Park. Hot summers, cold nights in the winter. Rarely any snow. I have five acres of clay-loam, valley and live oaks. Growing the right plants for this climate is an ongoing experiment.My rose collection and young bamboo grove are coming along. California natives are another favorite.Even a few tropicals are surviving fairly well.I have a small pond and will build a bog this winter.We have so many gophers that it would probably be easier to have a gopher ranch if there were any money in it. I love gardening, garden "junk", art, nature, and animals (except gophers)
