my husband and I came from Holland only for 6 months to work as an expat in Curacao, Dutch West Indies. We live here now for 29 years. Our two children were born here.My husband originates from'Friesland' a province in the Netherlands with its own culture and official language. My own parents are a mixture of Dutch, Servian, Hungarian, Mongolian, and German 'blood'. Father born and raised here on Curacao, mother born but raised on Sumatra, Indonesia. My husband has lived serveral years in Papua New Guinea. So we had no problems to leave Holland and try something else. Relatives all over the world, England, France, Austrialia and Tanzania. We love to live here and try to keep our yard a healthy place. It is quite difficult here, with a lack of rain, sweet water, wind and much salt in the air. It is a real challenge. So we might need some good advice from your website! Hope to spend some great time with your place.
