I started organic gardening when I was just a lad, and have been doing it in British Columbia for about 30 years. I really enjoy working with soil and plants on our acreage.

I've worked for a wood-products business association (earlier, worked in carpentr & construction, magazine journalism, retail sales).

I am married and enjoy music -- and the outdoors in numerous ways (X-C skiing, bicycling, walking, animal watching). On our place, we grow annual veggies, ornamental shrubs and annual flowers, fruit trees, berry bushes, grapes, and shade trees -- still learning things.

I'm pleased to say that, some years ago when I organized a small group in support of a "Sustaining Our Environment" forum, Spike responded and made it a reality!
