Started our Northern CA coastal garden in 2002. It's a nice varied cottage garden on a typical California urban plot; e.g., lots of small planting areas broken up by sidewalks, driveway, and paving. We aim for color and variety in planting, since the weather is relatively mild and gardening is a year-round activity here.
