I'm a third-generation Santa Fean who has lived in Los Angeles and Phoenix -- came home 15 years ago and don't think I'll ever leave, this is home. I have a small balcony 3' x 21' with full west exposure. Combine that with drought & I'm very interested in xeriscaping & water-saving. I recycle almost all my grey water during spring, summer & fall for outside watering and only some during the winter for inside watering. I live across the street from the SF River which sometimes even has water in it! Surrounded by decidious trees which help with the summer heat but allow lots of sun in winter for inside/over-wintering plants. I'm a storyteller, teacher of SF & SW history with an MA in SW History which I paid for by working two jobs & taking 5 years to get my degree! Right now am unemployed, looking for a job in management. No children but my godson is a Lt in the Navy Seals and my goddaughter is a landscaper/designer. I'm most proud of them both!
