I live in central Texas and I love gardening. I believe in the organic approach, and avoid using chemicals. I like to plant natives or very well adapted plants. My yard is small, the front very shady, and the back all sun. I purposely avoided planting any "real" trees in back due to that I love a sun-garden (only a yellow bird of paradise back there-airy foilage & small stature!), and the yard is too small to contain both sun and shade so I had to choose. I also enjoy propigating plants. Right now, I have heat tolerant plants, flowers and herbs, mostly periennials, and a small collection of succulents. I like plants with beautiful color, texture, and form. I also have some roses and hollies. Love to discuss plants, organic gardening, and to see or share pictures of plants & garden designs. Recipes are always nice too. I enjoy southwestern style cooking.
