My husband and I recently settled in southeast MO from central IA. The dirt down here is not dirt. It is one big rock that has been crushed by time in some places. I miss the "black gold" of IA! I love to have my hands in the dirt and only wish that I could do so more. I work insurance now, and dream of having my own nursery/market. My husband and I both love the outdoors and enjoy all the green things that surround us. We also have an interest in beekeeping but we have not fulfilled that wish yet, either. We have been married 2 years, and have an overweight Lab dog named Shelbie. She is the reason why I have no compost pail, as she eats everything. If the horse eats apples, so does she. If the horse grazes on grass, so does she....etc.
