We do some vegetable gardening, but mostly grow flowers, especially iris. We have four grown children, four grandchildren, and two little aggravating dogs! On our one-half acre we have two apple trees, a dwarf peach, three grape arbors, gooseberries, strawberries, rasberries, currants, a small vegetable patch, two small ponds, and many, many flowers! We also have various shade and ornamental trees and shrubs.
I have severe osteoarthritis in both knees, making it necessary to find ways to make gardening easier. I would be interested in hearing from other people who have this problem, and how they cope with it. Planned projects include raised beds for vegetables, a larger pond with a waterfall, and always more iris!
