I live in Austin, Texas and love to garden. My favorite plants are tropical or as tropical as I can get here in Central Texas. I especially love palms, cannas, bananas, and hibiscus. In the summer of 2003, my husband and I finished landscaping our backyard. Where before there was scrub and nothing else, we now have a beautiful covered patio, a lawn, and many beds filled with palms, bananas and other big and/or colorful plants.
