My name is Jennifer. I live in a small town in Texas, northeast of Dallas. I am the youngest of a large family (3 sisters, 2 brothers), and was raised in a Christian home. I worked for 15 years as a hairstylist, but I became burned out, so now I'm a housewife. I have no children, but I am a huge animal lover...especially cats. I have two that stay indoors (Abby and Annie). There are tons of strays that won't let me near them, but I feed them and love them all.

I've only recently become interested in gardening, after losing my Mother. I find it to be quite soothing and peaceful. My husband (I've been married a little over a year and a half) has more experience with gardening than I do, but neither of us are experts. We have mapped out a small area in front of our porch to begin with, and made it double layer. We've planted hostas in the lower, and double impatiens in the upper, and we have camellia shrubs on either side. I wish I had a digital camera. I'm so proud of my few accomplishments, and feel my words aren't doing my garden justice.

Any advise is greatly appreciated.
