Originally from the Northeast. Since 2002 have enjoyed watching my bare, clear-cut Carolina yard transform into a wooded lot with trees and shrubs. Only started gardening with flowers and houseplants in 2010 (other than a sambac jasmine that has been in my family for years). Have found that gardening combines two of my favorite things in life: being in nature and meeting interesting people.
