Hi
I am a 50+ gardener trying to maiantain a mixed native /exotic garden in western Victoria Australia . I am gardening in virtually no topsoil and have managed to create a passable cottage garden of one and half acres. I love whimsy and discovery in a garden and as I am a teacher of small children I do love my garden to have windy paths to play and chase on, hidden corners to play and make cubbies and flowers and bushes for bees and butterflies as well as birds.
I am now working on a garden that is mainly native as the water is scarce and we are on tank water...we have set up a B and B in our old church that we have lived in for over 23 years bringing up our two children who have now flown the nest .. I want the natives to look cottagey though ...help!!!
I love garden junk such as old teapots and cups and saucers ..I love to see the birds taking tea from a small cup and saucer in the garden I buy miniature china teasets and set up teaparties for the garden fairies on old floral saucers ...such fun to find
I have made a water feature from a tap, pouring into a kettle, pouring into a teapot poring into a cup and suacer !!!
as you guessed I always have the kettle on for a cuppa !!!
love to chat with other like souls
