I live on about a third-acre block of land in sem-suburban Belgrave in the Dandenong mountains. My partner and I raised our 3 daughters in an old run-down house on the block for the past 20 years before we built a new big house behind it(then tore down the old joint). Now we have a big front yard and because I work indoors (administration) four days a week, being outside creating a pleasant garden is one of my keys to sanity...never mind the dirty fingernails! I've been into natives for the past 5 years but oh so dearly needed to see more colour. Last year it was bulbs (I absolutely love oriental liliums) and now it's roses! Love to share little snippets with other gardeners... Not into making vegetables grow - there are just too many possums hereabouts...and unfortunately they love rosebuds.
