I'm not an utter newbie to roses--had some old garden roses in a mixed border for a while--but I didn't pay much attention to them. As of this spring 2003 I'm a newly converted rose fanatic thanks to the evil enablers on the Rose Forum. I have two or three acres that are largely cleared, and I'm trying to take the thirty-year approach to them rather than biting off too much at once. But roses just keep jumping into my car or the UPS truck. Each of my two young kids now has their own small gardens, and roses are their favorites too. The DH, however, is unaffected...as yet.
