Why "Ish Country Gal"? Ish country is the land of the Stillaguamish, Skykomish, Snohomish, Duwamish, Samish, Sammamish, Salish. These are rivers, valleys, lakes, sloughs, seas and peoples. This is the country where I live, garden and hike. I have respect, affection and concern for this land. . . . . . . . I am a retired scientific software developer. My favorite plants are rock garden plants, western USA natives and conifers.
