I am new to Oregon and 'tufa. My gardening experience is minimal to moderate, but I am interested in perennials, vegetable gardening, houseplants, and most recently, heaths and heathers. My new residence is a great Northwest Contemporary home with a nice moderately sloping lot that has lots of oaks, maples, some madrone and very few blackberries or poison oak! Unfortunately its almost solid rock! The tufa pots and troughs offer me an alternative way to plant on my hillside without taking out my pickaxe. I have an incredible soft spot for senecio rowleyanus or string of pearls plant and all animals, especially dogs, and extraspecially pits and pit mixes, which are the most misunderstood and discriminated against breed at this time.

I live in: United States

My zone is: z8/OR

My favorite forum 1 is Hypertufa.

My favorite forum 2 is Perennials.
