I had a cottage type garden with ponds, waterfall, gazabo's, bridges, and unique plants for the Littleton, Colorado area. My garden was featured in Better Homes and Gardens, Garden, Deck and Landscape planner, in Summer of 1994. My ponds and gardens were featured in several tours. I used to love to go out and cut flowers for myself and friends. I have now moved to Collbran, Colorado. The landscape here is all natural, so I am starting over with my gardens, and under a new situation of a lower zone, no trees, and deer and elk, plus bad soil conditions and inconsistant water sources. It is not a smooth ride by any means. Although I have a degree in Horticulture, and I have been a landscaper and florist for over 20 years, this is my hardest challenge! I also work full time, and have a 3 year old, so it has been interesting. I saw my first bald eagle really close, twice in one week. This is sure a change from city life! I love it.
