We live in a small house in Melbourne, VIC, Australia. I am interested in roses at the moment and also delving into fruiting trees like plums, apples, peaches, cherries, strawberries, and lately into rock melons and also mandarins. The melons are only tennis ball sized now, but the mandarin seedlings are from seed and are becoming BONSAI instead of real sized??? Any comments? I am trying to propagate roses by cuttings, but not very successful, only about 10%. Will try mixed (different colours) rose budding this coming season. Also waiting for some rose hips to ripen and see what I have created. I am trying to get some seeds like crosses of candy stripe with a yellow base or Just Joey with candy stripes just for fun!! I've had the best success with cuttings of Icebergs. They will grow like wild weeds!!!
