I am a single-parent to three beautiful girls - one teenage daughter and two large dogs (70 & 120 pounds!). All four of us love to be in the garden or in the woods. At the moment, the majority of our gardening is being done in containers and with wonderful results so far. We have even comadeered an abandoned raised bed in the parking lot of a vacant commercial property, across the road from our house, to grow sunflowers and vegetables. Note: We have, in recent years, borrowed space in friends yards, public parks and school grounds. We always make sure the vegetable wont take over the space but will rather, add to it. An example would be scarlet runner beans growing amongst honeysuckle. This was a beautiful combination, the blossom colors worked well together.
