I live in Houston, TX, just north of I-10 in the Cypress-Fairbanks area.

I am long-term married, with 2 grown sons and two dogs. We have moved frequently, so resources like GardenWeb make it easier to adjust to new locations.

My gardening style would best be described as eclectic---though my neighbors may sometimes think its eccentric. Im drawn to heritage or forgotten plants that are not sold in nurseries.

I love to attract butterflies and birds to my yard---especially hummingbirds. And I plant lots of sacrificial herbs and flowers for butterfly catterpillars to munch! I love to grow herbs, flowers and daylilies.

Other than gardening, I enjoy genealogy research and family history, I love to spoil my grandchildren, and Im trying to teach myself German so I can someday visit my grandparents relatives in Germany.
