I bought a house on Coney Island in late 2005. The backyard is 20' wide and 50' deep and very sandy, with nothing much growing there besides weeds, but they look like weeds very specific to sandy soil, like the kind you might see near dunes. By the spring of 2006, I hope to have a garden plan ready, including the construction of a flagstone patio and path, along with a list of attractive plants that will grow in this kind of soil, with lots of sunlight, too.
