In the past GW would pop up all the time when I was googling some garden-y subject. I've finally joined and am becoming even more of a garden junkie. I bought my house approx. 2 years ago from my grandma, so while it had been well-tended for around 65 years or so, it had recently been let go. I am trying to enliven the yard and shrink the lawn as much as possible, and so have been digging and planting and trimming and enjoying the outdoors any chance I get.
I found the winter sowing forum, and now will hopefully be able to grow even quicker without as much $$$$ flying out. Also have been composting what I can (plan to do much more this year) and recently started my first worm bin. I'm also interested in garden art/junk and all other sorts of home improvement, crafty, working with my hands stuff.
Oh yeah, I'm also trying to adopt an older child from the foster care system. My garden has provided a GREAT distraction from the loooong wait for a match. Hopefully, I will soon be able to grow a relationship with my child as I share my love of nature and the outdoors.
