Well im 13... thats all you people need to know im sorry to say... :P just kidding. well when i was like 7 i was eating a grapefruit with my brother (we each had a half) and what do i taste but... ewww! no, there was sugar on teh grapefruit, its not that. there was a SEED sprouting inside the grapefruit. my brother is happily munching away on his half so i yell "MOM!".... No answer... "MOMMY!!!!" and this time "what is it dear??" so i reply "Mom theres a seed grwoing my grapefruit! it tastes yucky!" so my mom, looking exasperated walks over and takes a look... to her surprise it was a seed, with about a 6 mm sprout on it. so after finally convincing her that it would do better than our hot-dog tree we planted it. its been growing for about the past 6 years and is now about 2 and a half feet tall. i dont think it got proper sunlight. last sumemr it was thriving, all green, with leaves and a nice smell. but this summer i put it out on my balcony like every other year and after a few weeks of regular water it dies down.. its still got its tiny bark on it although it is a brown color. my father trimmed down the tree itself (to my blatant objections) and the limbs aswell saying they needed it. after that no more grapefruit. that is my only reason for visiting this website and any help would be appreciated.
