I started growing roses in 2001. I took an interest in roses with a history--my grandmothers rose and a friends grandmothers rose. (Did you follow that one?) I grow about 10 roses, contend with rose rosette disease, 3 cats, a husband and a boy, oh, and a job. I enjoy the Roses forum and love the fun posts as much as the informative ones. In 2006 I had given up on all roses except the once blooming Antique roses--due to Japanese Beetles. In 2011 I discovered the newspaper method of rooting roses on roseseek's blog. I also discovered Hartwood Roses, a nursery "near" my house. Together they revived my interest in roses again.
