I live in Northeast Georgia on a man made lake system. Our ground is very hilly and heavy with Georgia red clay, so I make lots of compost to help break it up.
I have to grow almost everything under a canopy of trees in the shade or partial shade. What I grown needs to be able to take high temperatures and high humidy. I like shade loving plants.
I have good sucess with Hellebores, hostas, ferns and impatience. I am starting to add lots of hydrangeas.
I have completed the Master Gardeners program in my County and now know how much I still have to learn! It is such fun though learning it all.
I raise and sell hellebores from my home and have met some wonderful people who come here to purchase and "talk plants".

I have a digital camera and can send out pictures of the plants that I want to trade if you need to see them.
