We are recently retired dairy farmers.
I have a vegetable garden, perennials, roses, annuals and shrubs. I love starting my own plants using a plant light stand, usually raise about 24 flats. I am more a plant collector (I want one of everything!) than a designer of beds. I love the cottage/country garden look. I also love gardening books and have a pretty good collection which I read like novels.

Second favorite hobby is reading. Love novels about the south, Civil War period or earlier.

We have a small beef herd which we plan to expand.

I hope to get chickens soon and have a very small orchard and berry patch.
