I live in Mt.Pleasant, SC., it is on the coast and we are sub-tropical. I have a good size cottage style garden with a vast array of flowering plants, a few herbs and some vegetables. I have around 140 roses mostly all antiques, shrubs and David Austins, which are my favorite. There is always something blooming in my yard. Things grow to monumental proportions and I think it is the chicken manure which I buy by the bag. I have two teenage girls which is one reason I spend so much time in the garden. I will buy plants before I buy food and pay other bills and and I am always thinking gardening. I also have a great husband who supports my sometimes very expensive habit but thank goodness does not want to be in the garden with me. I am interested in talking with other garden fanatics and would love to talk to some in my area. Sometimes I think I am one of the few garden crazies around here.
