In 1999 I purchased plants I was told were a part of the Ginger/Heliconia family when looking for something that had a bamboo like appearance.(I now know these to be Costus) Since that time and upon further investigation I have discovered the amazing world of gingers, and am Head over Heels. I have a modest collection of about 60 but never stop looking. I just have to work out when we might be able to afford and move to the at least 5 acres I'll need to support my hopefully continuing collection. (I'll admit it I'm an adict)
