I was a teacher for 17 years(elementary). I have a neurological problem that I take serious meds for and can't teach anymore. I am married to a Conan type guy with a heart like Grizzly Adams and we have two kids. My daughter is 22 and is a senior majoring in sign language interpreting at Valdosta State University. My son is 17 and is a junior at the school where his Dad is a science teacher. I live on a small farm and have lots of animals that I adore. When the farm was sold to us it came with a hundred+ year old farmhouse that we have been renovating for the last 9 years. Ever seen the movie The Money Pit? Anyway, it's a work in progress, as is the yard. I have been gradually reworking it because it was a mess. I grow orchids in a little greenhouse that my husband built for me and I have been working on a raised bed herb garden. I am an avid reader so if I want to learn about something I devour any info on it that I can find. I figure this site will help and I look forward to communicating with others that share my interests. Free manure, anyone?
