I'm very interested in sustainable design and water use decisions. My own garden is a triumph of water harvesting and I maintain a very lush look in the garden despite the crisis we are in with water use. I'm a painter and would rather spend time in my garden than anywhere on earth. I'm interested in what I shall call creating a sense of place, investing even small lots with a sense of center, someplace to which you turn in willingly. In New Mexico people are drawn by the grand vistas. I maintain that after awhile one ceases to see the panorama, especially if you are exposed to it everyday. What sustain one is the view within.
