After so many years I finally have some time to beautify my little Eden (3 acres sw of Dallas on the Escarpment in deep woods with one acre "sort-of" tamed) frequently spending 8-10 hours a day tending to the non-4-legged kids (plants), but always at least 2 hours a day loving and caring for them. I have a herd of Giant to Large Dogs (Mastiffs, Rotties, Briard) so to start, this year, all new plantings are in pots...many, many, pots!!!

I have been interested in bamboo uses and growing for most of my life and plan on putting in loads of groves starting next spring.

Also erecting a 12 x 24 "starter" greenhouse, in a few weeks, in my large walled, SE facing courtyard for wintering the "kids" now that were down to a managable number of doggies (6) and dont have to use the courtyard for extra "storage" for doggies.

Eden has finally become my HEAVEN.

One length of our 30 x 30 raised deck is lined with fabulous bird feeders that are relativly impervious to squirrel distruction. We feed many birds and other critters year round. Great bird watching! This area is one of the few places (on earth Im told) to observe Painted Buntings. We have many througout the summer. And then there are the hummers and hummers and more hummers!!!
