I garden on a hill in West Virginia -- which means hard work digging rocky clay soil! I have been an avid gardener for about 10 years, and Im constantly learning more about it. I love daylilies, bulbs, and most any perennials; I also grow some herbs and tomatoes. I recently started wintersowing, and have had quite a lot of success with it. For the past three years I have run a plant swap and sale at my church. Proceeds from the sale go to a different charity each year (so far, the local chapter of Habitat for Humanity, a domestic violence shelter, and a childcare center for underprivileged children.) The sale gives a "focus" to my garden endeavors, especially since my own garden is about out of room. (Theres still some lawn Im eyeing...)
