Hi! I'm a native Nebraskan, avoiding the heavy clay soil through raised-bed square foot gardening! I'm also in the process of landscaping a brand-new yard, trying to build as many perennial beds with trees and shrubs as possible to limit the size of our horrible expanse of a suburban lawn. : )

We're trying hard to be ecologically sound with an energy-star rated home, and we hope to find some affordable rain barrels to water our garden and perennials.
