I am a Maricopa County (Arizona) Master Gardener.
I love teaching others about how to grow things in our desert conditions. My yard, which I designed is a lush yard that uses very little water (compared to my neighbors who have lawns). I like to make things with hypertuffa, and also mosaics. I love just about any craft except I hate scrapbooking, I just do not like cutting up my pictures.

I have fibromyalsia and I work 1-2 hours a day. I also have several chemical allergies and get migraines often. Most chemical fragrances, such as scented candles, and perfumes set off migraines, so I avoid them at all costs.

But I do use many "essential" oils (not fragrance oils). My favorite essential oil is Lavender. I can never get enough of it, because I use it to make several items such as a homemade perfume, linen spray, and scent my shampoos with it.

I have 2 dachshunds and a black lab mix. My one shorthaired black doxie, Buddy, is my pride and joy.

I am married (working on our 14th year now). My husband and I are foster parents. Currently we work with 6-13 year old girls. We picked this age group because so many foster parents want to work with the "young" kids and the oldre kids end up in shelters or group homes. And since we can not have children of our own and we have so much love to share, this is the best way to share our love and make a difference in as many childrens lives as possible. We are also look for a little girl age 6-9 to adopt from Arizona.

I am a chocoholic. My favorites are Dove milk chocolate, or Hersheys symphony.

I LOVE starbucks. Can not get enough caffeine...unfortunately I have to drink decaf because of the fibromyalsia.

I love to decorate...I just seem to be able to put odd combinations together and make them work. (this drives my husband up the wall, because I contantly am working on one room or another).

I love soft fuzzy leaved plants such as lambs ear.
I also like fragrant herbs (I do not cook with them I just love the smells). Such as anise basil, cinnamon basil, Tarrragon but my favorite is...
Lavender.

I love to collect things. (this drives my husband up the wall even more than the decorating!)
I CURRENTLY COLLECT: anything dachshund related.
FOR THE GARDEN I COLLECT:
Dragonfly garden items like plant stakes or chimes;
Rock face items;
Windchimes...I can never have too many wind chimes, bells or gongs... the deeper sounding the better.;
Hanging garden spinners, I love the metal ones or prismatic ones;
Sun face items;
Cut glass & Crystal prisms the type from chandeliers, I hang them in this one tree, I hope to have several hundred on this tree eventually.
Garden Urns (ones without handles) These are displayed in a large grouping near our pool. Mine are from 3 inches tall to 2-1/2 feet tall
