I work full-time as a writer-editor but would rather be digging in the dirt. DH & I have two sons & two cats. We live on 2.5 acres of sloping, wooded terrain with a rock-bed stream and struggle with erosion problems and finding enough plants to landscape without breaking the bank.

I started my first compost pile in the fall; GW forums are teaching me lots of good stuff, and it's impossible to limit myself to 1 or two favorites.
