I am a degreed horticulturist, a licensed pesticide consultant and plant problem diagnostician, a buyer/manager for a local retail garden center and a professional landscape designer. In my spare time (ha!) I try to work in my own garden, but it doesnt get the attention it deserves. It is too small, too filled with plants and a horrible advertisement for a professional designer but its all mine and I love it! I am an obsessive plant collector and at last count had about 1500 different plant species but I try to stay focused on dwarf conifers, Japanese maples, hebes, clematis, species iris and various shade plants. I garden accompanied by an assortment of dogs, 2 small kittens, 2 dwarf lop bunnies (my fertilizer factories) and 14 y.o. daughter.
