I developed a love for gardening from my mom. Ever since I was young I have had an interest in plants. I think part of my interest in gardening also stems from the fact that I grew up in a very small house with 8 kids. All the more reason for me ( & my mom!) for wanting to be outdoors.

I am sentimental about my plants. I have some spoon chrysanthemums that were taken as cuttings from my mom's garden. She planted them when I was a young girl.

I also really love bearded iris. My goal is to acquire a few more new plants each year.

My favorite time of year is spring. I just don't know how any gardener can wait until spring!
