Well, I recently got into house plants when my Grandmother died in late December '04 and I found a Golden Pothos in a dish garden someone had sent for the fenural. I know, a heck of a way to get into houseplants, but I wanted a living reminder of her. When I was at my parents for Easter, my mom had finally brought home the African Violets that grandma had grown and I decided I wanted to try my hand at one, and have a living reminder of her from a time when she was alive. I have really enjoyed watching the pothos grow and flourish and am currently trying to train it to grow up and around my bed frame. I'm hopeing to have the same good experience with the AV. I water my plants from my aquariums that have a fairly good level of nitrate so I think I can attribute the quick growth of the pothos to that. I have currently been doing a lot of reasearch of AV's to find the proper care and all that other good stuff. I don't like getting into a project without knowing a little bit about what I'm getting into.
