I saw the pressed flower exhibit at the Philadelphia Flower Show and became obsessed pressing flowers and creating beatiful pictures. I constantly look for intersting paper to use for the backgrounds. If they are too thin I mount them first on board stock then add the flowers. I use phone books, home made wood presses and microwave presses. I find the colors hold truer with microwave pressing but there is a fine line between done and cooked. Sometimes I take them out of the micro and finish the pressing in a phone book.
