I am a self-employed artist. I do ceramic sculpture and pottery, drawings and watercolor paintings, along with my gardening. Take a look at my website for photos of my artwork and plants. I love studying things in nature, be it plants, animals or rocks. My husband picks on me some time about my rocks, but I often find some really interesting ones, and quartz crystal or petrified wood for decorating around my plants or in the aquariums. I like 60's Psychadelic music like Dukes of Stratosphere, Gong and Pink Floyd, older rock like Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin, The Beatles and Black Sabbath (and Pink Floyd again), 80's alternative and techno type stuff like Depeche Mode, Nitzer Ebb, Oingo Boingo, The B-52's and Devo, 80's hardcore punk like Dead Kennedys, Black Flag and Circle Jerks, "Grunge" punk alternative sort of stuff like Nirvana, Pearl Jam, and Sonic Youth, and modern industrial-type rock like Marilyn Manson, Nine Inch Nails, Tool, Rammstein and Rob Zombie. I don't like a lot of modern mainstream "over-the-counter" music. It all sounds the same to me. I like things that are different. I recently moved into a new house and am in the process of transforming a yard full of bermuda grass and dead flowerbeds into a yard of St. Augustine and beautiful flowerbeds. Both my paternal grandmother and my mother were great with plants, and I sort of picked up their skills. My grandmother had tons of beautiful plants, and my mom had a degree in floral design and worked with plant care companies for malls and offices for years. I am slowly reviving what plants I happen to find still alive in the flowerbeds here, and working outside every chance I get, along with my big helper, my 5-year old son Ozric. I also have a 11-month old son named Aidan now.
