I would consider myself an amatuer gardener. Grow mostly perennials, with a few annuals here and there. Just dabble in container gardening. Have a combination of sun and shade, so I plant accordingly (with some experimentation thrown in). Enjoy growing plants that attract butterflies and the little hummers. I find it theraputic to work out in the yard during the summer (which is not long enough in my zone)-----always trying to dream up some project to work on to improve the yard.
