My daughter created my "name" because of my love for plants and because the grandchildren call me Nanny. We bought a place in the country in 1988 and I quit work in 1989 to begin transforming my yard. In 1995, my husband and son built me a hobby greenhouse that I use it for ornamentals and for starting seeds. 1996 I was diagnosed with inclusion body myositis (a degenerative muscle disease) and have had to limit the time I can work in my yard and greenhouse. It still brings me a lot of pleasure.
