Hi I'm fairly new to gardening, having only being married to a gardener for 3 years. I'm FAST learning tho. I also sew, knit, crochet, sketch & paint. It says up above on here "a funny story"... well my storie is this: While it's true that my DH & I married three years ago we were ACTUALLY ENGAGED 35 years ago: But I was very young, panicked & ran. A while later he married & the next year I married. My marraige only lasted 9 years, while DH MADE his last, till she passed away 4 years ago. His family & I never did loose contact so I ALWAYS knew what was going on in his life, but he didn't KNOW this. Meanwhile HE always knew what was going on in MY life, & I didn't know that. So when his aunt & uncle came to visit me 4 years ago & told me that his wife had died, the words just kind of flashed by: "Well NOW he will PHONE ME!" I had to really talk myself out of that because of COURSE he wouldn't....
But he DID. He phoned me Dec 27/00 to wish mw a happy New Year (ice-breaker) & we phoned regualairly every day after that; we met secretly in March /01, were engaged in June & married Sept 8/01.
We had had absolutely NO contact for 32 years.
And I think this is about enough, probably more then you wanted to know, right? Will be good to be in this forum I think.
