Even though I am fairly new to gardening (flower and vegetable), my heart is on fire for my new-found past-time. I have truly become addicted to flowers, especially perennials. I cannot go anywhere near a nursery without the need to buy up the entire place or threatening to never leave. Does this constitute a problem? Anyway, at thirty-something, I am a single woman with two kids -- Border Collie mixes -- Cheyenne and Montana. Born in January, 2003, they were rescued from a WV kill-shelter a few days before they were to be gased. They are my heart and soul. And I will cherish them always as long as they keep their forever-digging paws out of moms flower beds. When I dont have my hands in the soil, I am a nurse at a small, community hospital. I just recently graduated nursing school with my Bachelor of Science in Nursing (May, 2006) and even more recently passed my nursing boards (Aug, 2006). I hope to one day incorporate my passion for gardening into helping to heal people spiritually and emotionally through "garden therapy", or perhaps even getting a second degree in herbology. There is such power in working the soil, nourishing life, and watching it flourish. God bless! ~Kristin of PA
