We've been slowly turning our flat, untreed 2 acre lot into a beautiful garden. It's growing bit by bit, and now has two small ponds, many trees and many flower beds. One tiny pond is refreshed by the condensing water from the air conditioner dripping into it. Several frogs have found this little pond and moved in. So far, we've had two weddings in the yard, and both were beautiful, one in July of 99 and one in June of 02. We constantly add more perennials and always have baby plants to swap and give away. We put up bird houses, feeders and bird baths and have many kinds of birds, especially enjoying the little hummers. We have put up several bluebird boxes and are hoping that some year they will move in.This year we are building a shed, and I can't wait to landscape around it. We are thinking about a water wheel and pond on the side of the shed.

Jan 05. Well, we added the shed and also added an "oriental influenced" garden with a small pond...that makes four ponds including the deck pond in a half whiskey barrel....and are constructing more garden rooms behind the back fence. So much fun.
